Rohtang Pass: Located at a distance of 51 km and at an altitude of 4,112 Mtrs above sea leavel is a mighty mirage of western Himalayas Rohtang Pass. Divided by an altitude range of 2320-6816 m Kinnaur is located on the South East of Himachal Pradesh. The Place is well connected by National Highway No- 22 also popularly known as the Hindustan Tibet Road. The state capital Shimla is approximately 250 Km from Kinnaur. The majority of region shares mountain topography.
Kalpa: A small little town located at a height of 19965 Ft in the laps of Kinner Kailash. Kalpa is round the year surrounded by snow clad mountains. The place is famous for the offering a clear glimpse of the Kinner Kailash and sibling ranges. This place has been one of the favorite haunt of Lord Dalhousie. The place is well connected through roadways though driving on these roads is a daunting task. Karcham is the dividing spot from here the right hand side road leads to Sangla valley and the left hand goes to Recong Peo/ Kalpa. The road connecting to Recong Peo further gets divided into two roads first one is 13 Kms and the second one is 7 Kms. If you are an adventure driven person then this place will for surely allure you. You can discover Kalpa and near around places. The best time to visit this place is during summer and autumn, as during winter season the temperature dips down in negative scale, and on the rough average the place receives a snow fall between 6-7 Ft.
Sangla: The Sangla valley is a picturesque valley located at a short distance of approx 57 Km away from Kalpa. Sangla is located at the bank of river Baspa. The road heading from Karcham to Sangla is enjoyable, adventurous and thrilling. The valley is also known as the Baspa valley as the river Baspa flows across the valley. This is one of the most seeable valleys across entire Kinnaur district.
